CBMBP Philosophy

CBMBP will create a community of interdisciplinary
researchers ,professors , and students who foser excellence
and encourage innovation . this community will spearhead
academic and scientic advancement in the region and
across the world by building a strong foundation

                          Teaching and evaluation methods:
Teaching, training and evaluation of students are based on
the methodological bases adopted in the competency based
curricula in which the students are evaluated collectively in all
the competencies on which the curriculum was built (ACGME
2009). Therefore, it is necessary to use the appropriate
methods according to the American standards.
Evaluation tools will be matched with the College's resources
in order to achieve the credibility of the assessment of the
competencies. (N.B.: For every global framework of
competencies there is a framework for teaching and
                          evaluation tools).

                                 CBMBP Rationale

The Faculty of Medicine, Tanta University was established
by the Republican Decree No. 1468 of the year 1962 as a
branch of the Alexandria University in its history, is currently
relying on a huge infrastructure of classrooms, laboratories,
about 1507hospital beds, museums and libraries, in addition
to about 2000 faculty members at the highest level of
scientic and professional preparation. Each year, the
faculty receives more than 1,000 Egyptian students and
hundreds of students from all over the world.
                          Evolution of medical curricula:
The medical curriculum in the world has witnessed a lot of
development since the middle of the last century, especially
since 1984 after the release of the professional
specications report for the graduate of medicine from
America (GPEP) and the publication of the world model
Harden in the development of medical curricula (SPICES
Model). All medical schools have developed their curricula
according to the new concepts. The international health
organizations have adopted a number of medical
regulations including the doctor of the future in the UK (TD3
                          2015), the Scottish doctor's competencies (SD3 2008), the
European competencies (MINE), the Australian doctor's
competencies (AMC 2012), the Canadian competencies
(CanMeds 2015) and the American competencies (GMER
2002, ACGME 2009). All these competencies are centered
around the comprehensive concept of an efcient physician
