II. Professional Skills

                       a.  Ethical  Responsibility  to  Self  and  Others:  Behaves  in  an  honest  and  ethical
                          manner; cultivates personal and academic integrity; adheres to ethical principles

                          and  follows  rules  and  procedures;  resists  peer  pressure  to  engage  in  unethical
                          behavior and demonstrates ethical and moral reasoning.

                       b.  Capacity  for  Improvement:  Sets  goals  for  continuous  improvement  and  for
                          learning new concepts and skills; engages in reflective practice for improvement;

                          solicits and responds appropriately to feedback.

                       c.  Reliability  and  Dependability:  Consistently  fulfils  obligations  in  a  timely  and
                          satisfactory manner; takes responsibility for personal actions and performance.

                       d.  Teamwork:  Works collaboratively  with  others  to  achieve shared College goals;

                          shares  information  and  knowledge  with  others  and  provides  feedback  as  per
                          different courses’ needs; puts team goals ahead of individual goals.

                       e.  Human  Behavior:  Applies  knowledge  of  the  self,  others,  and  social  systems  to
                          solve problems related to the psychological, socio-cultural, and biological factors

                          that influence health and well-being.

                       III.   Personal development skills

                       a.  Critical  Thinking:  Uses  logic  and  reasoning  to  identify  the  strengths  and

                          weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
                       b.  Quantitative  Reasoning:  Applies  quantitative  reasoning  and  appropriate

                          mathematics to describe or explain phenomena in the natural world.
                       c.  Scientific  Inquiry:  Applies  knowledge  of  the  scientific  process  to  synthesize

                          information, solve problems and formulate research questions and hypotheses.

                       IV.    Responsibility

                       a.  Professional usage of language, and appearance in the presence of patients, in the

                          classroom, and in health care settings.
                       b.  Setting patient care as the highest priority in the clinical setting.

                       c.  Recognition  of  your  own  limitations  and  seeking  help  when  your  level  of

                          experience is inadequate to handle a situation on your own.
                       d.  Not using alcohol, smoking or recreational drugs in any way.
